Settling In

I made it to Florida and am finally able to walk through my new apartment without stumbling through a maze of moving boxes!  I set up my desk this week and unpacked my new sewing machine today. That felt gooood :)

Things are {slowly} coming together, but I'm still trying to get used to my new neighborhood and culture.  Although I'm super anxious and excited to start, my brain feels a little too scattered for major projects and blogging just yet.

What's first on the to-do list?  1) Finish up and post the pattern for my Vintage Tie Wallet {woohoo!} and, 2) Getting cracking on your wallet orders!  Thought I forgot didn't ya? ...never.

In the meantime, here are some photos from my trip down in case you missed them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook...

Here's me...heading out!

A gift from a sweet, dear friend just before I drove away.  I think she knows me better than I know myself.

I spotted this sign and couldn't resist the photo opp!

I knew I was on the right path when I saw this.

I had to wait for the train to roll by before snapping this photo.  Loved this building and the tiny town it was in.

I needed a Bluegrass fix while driving through Kentucky.

Parking like a champ

You know you're in Florida when...

After three days of driving that giant contraption, I was stoked to see this stuff at the gas station

Here's where I landed.  Not too shabby huh?

Time to take the plastic off the new machine!  Stay tuned for photos of some of the cute flea market finds I stumbled across during the trip.
